Mike was my best friend. The best friend I ever had, in fact. I don't think that I could pick one specific memory and claim it to be my favorite.
We spent so many hours on my patio covering about every topic that you can think of. I am pretty sure that we solved the world's problems at least three times, but no one would listen to us.
It is so hard for me to believe that we will never share a laugh together, hurl some kind of humorous insult, or blame something that just went wrong on my wife Kim. (All in good fun of course.)
He had a much bigger heart than I think he wanted people to know. He loved his daughters and all of his family very much. He would do anything for his friends. In fact, he went out of his way for my wife and I more times than I can count.
Rest in peace my friend. You are missed beyond words. I hope that I can live up to your example as what a true friend is. Not merely words, but followed up by action. I love you my brother!!!
