Opal "Dobbie" Goodman

Dobbie was born in Wichita County at Cooper Ranch on August 6, 1930. She was the youngest of 13 children born of Laura Dickens and Levin Johnson. She married Johnnie Goodman, the love of her life, June 1,1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Dobbie and Johnnie had 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was a social worker, counselor for substance abuse program, teacher at Liberty Baptist Christian School and an administrative secretary for many businesses. For many years, she loved following and participating in social media with family and friends, reading, knitting and crocheting. Dobbie fully devoted her life to her family. Dobbie was a prayerful Christian who made a difference in so many lives and was inspirational, nurturing, and loved her family and everyone she knew. She truly was a warm spirit, exceptional Mother and had a fruitful life.

Dobbie is predeceased by her husband, Johnnie Goodman; her son, Mike Goodman; and her great grandchildren, Baby Dismang and Briella Goodman.

Dobbie is survived by her brother, Herman Johnson, and her sister, Melba June Sparks.

Grandchildren: Brian Goodman; Lauri Dismang; Christie Goodman; Deirdre Cannon; Toby Jon Goodman; Ben Goodman; Casey Goodman; Kenny Reeves Goodman; Kelly Goodman; Jessica Edmondson; Kris Chappell; and Michelle Dollar.

Great Grandchildren: Kaleigh Goodman; Abbie Goodman; Jordan Dismang; Jackson Dismang; Aidan Cannon; Liam Cannon; Vivian Cannon; Lukas Goodman; Ryleigh Goodman; Connor Goodman; Marshall Goodman; Xander Goodman; Kade Goodman; Tinley Goodman; Zane Edmondson; Bryce Chappell; Jack Chappell; Beckham Chappell; and Levin Dollar.

The Visitation and Funeral Services are at Moore Bowen Funeral Home 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas, 76016. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12th, from 6-8:00PM; Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 13th, at 1:00PM.
