Orlando Antonio Silva, age 65 of Arlington, passed away on May 8, 2018. He was born on January 25, 1953 in Stann Creek, Belize, the son of Rogelio Silva and Ernestina Maldonado. Orlando married Catherine Burn and they celebrated 41 years of marriage.
Orlando worked for many years as an automotive technician, and most recently for the City of Arlington’s fleet department. Orlando had a special passion for BMW’s, and considered himself a master technician who could fix any problem. Orlando and his wife are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Family and friends will remember Orlando’s many riddles and his love for grilling. His greatest pride and joy was his family, all of whom will miss him greatly.
Orlando is survived by his wife, Catherine; daughters Giselle Silva and Nicole Silva Cabello; grandchildren Jose Murillo, Catalina Murillo Trinidad Murillo, and Nathaniel Cabello; and great granddaughter Carmen Murillo.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, May 13 from 5-7PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Monday, May 14 at 10AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with visitation from 9AM until the time of mass.
