Pasquale "Pat" John Speranza, age 91 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2018. He was born on May 5, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Joseph Speranza and Maria Callo Speranza. Pat married Rose Vecchio, who preceded him in death in 2009.

Pat is survived by his daughter Maria Speranza Holmes and husband Eddie Holmes, Jr.; grandchildren Eddie Holmes, III and wife Mandy and Jessica Rose Howard and husband Ed; great grandchildren Peyton and Patrick; sister Lucy DiDonato; brother-in-law Michael Nunziante; and faithful companion Penny. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose, siblings Vincent Speranza, Mary Nunziante; brother-in-law Albert DiDonato; great grandson Edward Frederick Holmes, IV; and faithful companion, Sandy.

Solemn Pontifical Requiem High Mass will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11AM at St. Timothy Church, Fort Worth. Visitation will be at the Church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of Mass. Mass of the Christian Burial and Military Honors will take place on Monday, April 9 at 10:30AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

I went to early elementary school with Mr. Pat’s granddaughter, Jessica. I still remember Mr. Pat and Mrs. Rose attending many school events, twirling competitions, and dance recitals. He was always smiling and always such a joy to be around! I was very Blessed to know Mr. Pat and his beautiful family for a short amount of time. My deepest condolences go out to his wonderful family and I have know doubt his amazing light with shine down on them for all eternity.

I rember one winter in N Y when my father in law strapped our son Eddie into a seat on a sled and was pulling him down the street My Pop & Mom s house faced the Avenue my Pop sees Pat pulling the sled and asks what are you doing Proud Grand Pa Pat says pulling our Grandson myPop says were is he ? He had fallen off the sled and was laying in the middle of the Avenue on his back motionless with legs & arm up in the air in his SNOW SUITE
