Patrick Lee Pulliam Sr.

Patrick Lee Pulliam, Sr., age 67 of Arlington, passed away on March 6, 2019 with his family at his side. He was born on July 8, 1951 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Otho and Nellie Ruth (Nobel) Pulliam. Pat married Karla Herrington and they celebrated 24 years of marriage together.

Pat was a wonderful husband and family man, always taking care of his wife and family. Pat had an outgoing personality and loved to meet new people and share stories. Pat graduated from Springfield High School in 1969 then later graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with a degree in business administration. Pat started his career with Horace Mann in the marketing division and worked as a senior group marketing representative, national medical benefits consultant, assistant director of field services. Following retirement, Pat worked as a park ranger at Joe Pool Lake. Pat loved country music, spending time outdoors, lounging in the pool, watching the Chicago Bears, and making other people laugh.

In addition to his wife, Pat is survived by his son Patrick Pulliam, Jr and wife Colby; granddaughter Madison Pulliam; brother Paul Pulliam and wife Sophie; and sisters Carolyn Williams and Barbara Ann Borg and husband Hank.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, March 11 from 4-7pm at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s honor to Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation.
