Papa,

When a growing boy thinks of his hero’s , he think of Batman and Superman. Unlike those boys, I thought of you. Most importantly, you represented the greatest flag, the greatest nation on earth. Hero’s go out like you.

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when my two Papas watched the Army/Navy game together. Lord knows, it won’t be long till the game is back on.
I
But more than that, and than being a tough guy, you were one of my hero’s. You showed me how to love someone more than life itself, I NEVER once questioned that Nana was your angel. I NEVER once doubted that you TRULY loved this family.

I thank you, from the bottom of my heart. for showing me how to love and how
to live.

I’ll see you soon. Please hug my loved ones who have gone before me.

Until them - God Bless.

Love all of you. It’s true Bob didn’t say a lot, but what he did was always worth hearing. Know he will be missed by all. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so grateful for Uncle Bob and the entire August family. What a wonderful family we have! Praying this verse over you all:
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Praying that you'd know God's strength and comfort in this time.
Love you!

Aunt Sally and August cousins: My heart is so heavy for you at this time. To me, Uncle Bob was a man of few words (probably because Aunt Sally was always talking!), but the words he spoke were always gentle and kind. Thinking of you and praying for you all.
