In grade school, he was active in theater productions, and in high school he excelled at competitive figure skating, both roller and ice. After graduating from Eastern Hills High School in 1970, Robert enrolled at UT Arlington where he met Denise Drevecky, his beloved wife of 50 years. The two married in January 1975 and bought a home in East Fort Worth where they welcomed two sons and a daughter.
Robert eventually moved his family to Arlington in 1991 where his children each finished school and went on to earn college degrees at UTA. Robert himself earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership while working for UTA as an Associate Registrar and later as a Project Director for Student Enrollment Services. He retired in 2014 and spent the next several years with Denise enjoying their grandchildren and beautifying their Arlington home together.
Although their final years were marked by significant health challenges, Robert and Denise commemorated their 50th wedding anniversary in January 2025. Denise passed a few short days later. Robert spent the remaining year of his life missing his soulmate and praying for the day when they would be reunited. In his final days, Robert received the frequent comfort of his children's company. His passing is deeply felt by each of us as we mourn the loss of a loving father.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Priscilla. He is survived by his son Brandon and his wife Alicia, son Nathan and his wife Diane, and daughter Amanda and her husband Ray, as well as his brother Randy and his wife and children. He leaves behind six grandsons and a granddaughter who will miss him very much.
Inurnment services will be held on Friday July 10th at 9:00am at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
In lieu of flowers, please pick a funny movie and watch it with your loved ones. Dad's favorite was always Young Frankenstein.
