I just heard today about Coach Gibson. I'm very sorry for your loss. He was a teacher and coach at Evangel Temple while I was in school there. He was a great man. May you find peace and comfort.

 I remember the first time I saw u. I was barely in high school and you were bowling with my sister. You guys were just friends then. Me and Kelly thought u were cute and told Christie she should go for u. Many years later she took my advice! I remember your wedding and how happy and nervous u were. I remember when little Rodney was born and you brought a pound of snacks and I think u ate every single one in less than an hour. I remember mom saying "you were just a nervous eater", lol. I remember how slow you always were anytime we'd all go somewhere, lol. You always had to see every little thing and read all the details. We would laugh at u, but I now realize that was u taking in every detail of life. I remember you working your butt off at our wedding trying to make it perfect for me bc u loved me. And I love you too, and I'm gonna miss you so much. You brought so much joy to my life and our little family. I just can't believe your gone. I keep thinking I'm gonna wake from this nightmare. I promise to keep your memories in my heart and share them with your boys.

The impact Rodney made on the lives of all with whom he came in contact is immeasurable.  So much of him lives on in his precious boys, his family, and in the the lives of his students.  I was priviledged to watch Rodney as he grew from a young newlywed into a maturing father of two boys, who loved his wife and children dearly.  I watched him take on the role of patriarch for his beloved family, as well as mentor for the young men with whom he came in contact.  Rodney was a strong, gentle leader, a living testimony of the Word of God, demonstrating a humility and teachable spirit like none other.  Both in life, and in passing on to eternity his tenacity and steadfastness toward the promises of our Savior were evident.  You fought the good fight, you kept the faith, my dear friend, and now you have entered into His reward.  Praise the Lord forevermore!  Christie - comfort and strength to you and the boys - you are loved.

We love you Christie, our hearts and prayers are with you. We will pray for you to have peace in knowing what a wonderful life you and your children and all your family and friends gave to your husband.

Rodney was a servant.  He was always helping people, and he expected nothing in return.  He helped us move out of our house, as he did for dozens of others.  Rodney touched our lives, and we will miss him tremendously.  We love you Rodney.

Rodney, The second you were put in my arms I knew the meaning of true love!  As you grew I saw a young man emerge with all the grace our good Lord could bestow upon a person.  Then you gave me 2 of the most beautiful grandsons in the world!  All the while at being a warrior for God!  I tried to tell you how proud you made me but I don't think you got the full effects of how much I meant it.  You grew to be the foundation of not only Christie and your sons life, but of every single person in your family!  No one will ever stand in your shoes all the days of our lives.  You are truly loved!

Rodney, you will always be loved and missed. Can't wait to see you in Heaven!
