Ronald Dean Rimmer, age 58 of Arlington, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2020. He was born on May 3, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Mary Alice Rimmer. Ron married Karen Porter and they celebrated 12 years of marriage together.
Ron proudly served and retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service. Family and friends will remember him for his dedication to his country and being patriotic. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed spending time outdoors, deer hunting, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and making people laugh with his great sense of humor. His greatest time was the time he spent with his family and friends, all of whom will miss him.
Ron is survived by his wife, Karen; son Keith Porter and wife Karla; daughter Tiffany Poyson and fiancé Kevin; grandchildren Mark, Matthew, Mikeal, Cody, Hailey, Ashlee, Krystal, Gilmore, Alexander, and Sophia; great grandchildren Dillon, Tinsley, Zayden, and Remi; brother in laws Keith Barron and wife Connie, Alan Barron and wife Debra; parent in laws Charles and Alice Barron; uncles and aunts Larry and Jan Rimmer, Gerald Rimmer; cousins Chris and Kimberly Rimmer, Brandon and Elizabeth Weber, and Faye Rimmer; and many loving nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Mary Alice Rimmer-Hampton and Kenny, and grandparents Richard and Martha Rimmer.
