Rosemary Gabourie was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Bernice and Ludwig Patt on May 20, 1938. As a devout Christian and true to her Catholic faith, she graduated high school from Catholic Central High in Grand Rapids Michigan. Shortly after graduation, she met and married her only love David and became his wife of 53 years. Throughout their loving marriage she raised three children and remained a full-time housewife until 1977 where she took full time employment with the United States Customs Service. She and David ultimately retired on the same date in 1998 after both having successful careers to live the rest of their days together in retirement. She was actively involved in the St Joseph Catholic Church and most recently very active in the women’s Auxiliary and the St. Vincent DePaul Society helping to feed the homeless. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always went out of her way to make sure everyone she came in contact with did the same.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to Community Hospice of Texas, their friends and the Catholic community that provided support and comfort throughout her illness. Today our Mother is joined with our Father and heaven has gained another angel.
