

He was born on July 9, 1952 in Colonia Agricola La Popular 13 de Marzo Gomez Palacio in Durango, Mexico. During his time in Mexico, he obtained a law degree and performed pro bono work to help many in need. This work eventually led him to the US on his 31st birthday in 1983. He dedicated his life to serving God, spreading the gospel, and serving others, fervently praying for them in their time of need. He was a brother in Christ and a friend to many. Ruben was also a skilled electrician, poet, and singer, but mostly took pride in his children’s accomplishments, being present at their ceremonies and graduations, and being their biggest supporter.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Angelina; his children, Andres, Jovita, and Daniela; his grandchildren, Andrea, Julio, Victoria, Sarah, and Samantha; great-granddaughter, Ana. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Diana; sons-in-law, Donnie and Esteban.

A a celebration of life for Ruben will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Arlington, 2400 Pecandale Drive, Arlington, TX 76013.
