Ruth H. Padgett went to be with her heavenly father on January 6, 2020. Visitation: Friday, January 10, 2020 5-7 pm at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home located at 4216 South Bowen Road in Arlington, TX. Celebration of Life: Saturday, January 11, 2020 10 am at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home located at 4216 South Bowen Road in Arlington, TX.

Ruth was born on August 17, 1930 to Ed and Ollie Jane Homan in Godley, TX. She was part of “The Greatest Generation” and worked hard throughout her life. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her husband referred to her as a “jack of all trades”. She enjoyed sewing, pottery, painting, knitting, crocheting, being the booking agent for the Grandpa’s band, and playing games.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her 11 brothers and sisters, and the love of her life for 62 years, Willis Leonard Padgett. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughter, Sylvia Howell and her husband, Danny; Son, Dale Padgett and his wife, Alice; Grandson, Adam Ratcliffe and his wife Stephanie; Granddaughter, Lauren Overshiner and her husband, William; Granddaughter, Kim Allen and her husband Shawn; Granddaughter, Dr. Cassandra Hoffmann and her husband, Dr. Jacob; Grandson, Dalton Jaus; Great-grandsons, Shawn Padgett, Kayden Ratcliffe, and Glenn Hoffmann.
