Ruthie Laine Day

Ruthie married Larry G. Day on May 29, 1958 in Conway Springs, Kansas. Larry preceded her death on April 28, 1997. She was the loving mother of Steven (Nancy) Day of Red Oak, Jeffrey Day of Ft. Worth and Cheri Dawn Husband of Ft. Worth. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer (Donald) Tywater, Andrew (Sarah) Day, Brandon (Jessica) Day, Briana Day and Kirsten Day, as well as eleven great-grandchildren.

Ruthie is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bessie Gilmore of Kiron, Iowa and was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Besides a fierce love for her family, she enjoyed playing tennis, sometimes several times a week, as well as pickleball in the last few months. She loved spending time with her friends from tennis on and off the court. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Disable Veterans (DAV)

A visitation for Ruthie will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016.
