Stanton William Schmitz Jr.

Stanton William Schmitz, Jr., age 27, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2017. Born in Arlington, TX on June 18, 1990, he was the son of Stanton Schmitz, Sr. and Kathryn Schmitz Pledger. Stanton is survived by parents Kathryn and Mark Pledger, and Stan and Jill Schmitz; his daughter Ellie Schmitz and her mother Hillary Hernandez; sisters Kristin and Kellyn Schmitz; Kellyn’s fiancée Austin Hall; maternal grandparents Elsie Porter, and Gene and Brenda Porter; paternal grandparents Freda and Bill Schmitz; as well as numerous loving friends and extended family members.

A graduate of Martin High School in Arlington, Stanton had a strong faith in God and attended Watermark Community Church in Dallas. Family and co-workers describe him as a dedicated and hard worker, enjoying the labors required in construction and HVAC. Stanton enjoyed listening to country and contemporary Christian music, watching baseball, and drawing. His greatest pride and joy in life was his precious daughter, Ellie. Family and friends will greatly miss Stanton, his sense of humor, and warming smile.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will begin 10:30am preceding the ceremony and interment will follow the service at nearby Moore Memorial Gardens.
