Stewart Stu Robert Weinstock

Stewart Robert “Stu” Weinstock, 70, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2014 surrounded by his family in Mansfield, TX. Celebration of Life: 3:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Moore & Sons Funeral Home - Bowen Chapel with Cantor Sheri Allen officiating. Reception to immediately follow the service at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home.

Stewart was born August 13, 1944 to Irving and Edna Weinstock in Bronx, New York. He married Brenda Schottcke on November 19, 1983 in Levittown, Pennsylvania. He served in the New York National Guard during the Vietnam conflict. He had an extensive career in the technology field working for Sam Goody record industry, Tandy Computers as a portable and pocket computer buyer and Viking Freight System as a SAS Programmer. He was a member of the Association of SAS Programmers.

Stewart is survived by his wife Brenda Weinstock; daughters, Sheri Boura, Rebecca Wheale; son, David Weinstock; granddaughter Raissa Boura; cousins, Ann Silverstein and husband Dave, Arthur Jacobs and wife Annie and their families, Sheila Weiser, and Susan Davis and husband Lenny; niece Tera Jernigan Priest and husband Scott, and her family; brother-in-laws Carl Jernigan Sam Zollars and Kevin Curry and wife Lisa and their family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Irving Weinstock, in-laws Robert and Laura Zollars, and sister-in-law Deidre Curry Jernigan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Jernigan, Sam Zollars, Kevin Curry, Scott Priest, Jon Stroud, and Arthur Jacobs.
