Memories from Grand-daughter; Gwen
Pops took me to my first Texas Rangers Game when I was 12 years old, I remember it vividly, he was able to get me down to the field to get autographs from the players. We had the bond of both being huge fans of Oklahoma State football and the fact that we both served in the U.S. Air Force. Pops would play with me and my sister when we were little, he and my Grambo also took us to Sea World , Disneyland, and the Grand Canyon, all for the first time. He loved the track, and I remember spending the day with him a few years back out at Lone Star, where he taught me the fine art of battling horses. I was a baby when he met and married my Grambo. When he became an instant father and grandfather, he loved us and I loved him a lot. he was a solid foundation and a huge blessing to me and my family. I am forever grateful for having him as my Pops.
Memories from Daughter; Jane Fincher
Always adored Pop because he just took our family and made us own. He loved my Mom dearly and took such good care of her. Last several years he and I would go to lunch and I'd drag him around doing errands. Most sundays I would cook a pork roast for him, his favorite. He would come tend to our cats when we went out of town and watch westerns. I miss him so much.
