

William Campbell Poulson, 49, of Arlington, entered into heaven June 27 after a long illness. William was born in Anchorage, Alaska and grew up in Hawaii and Missouri. He graduated from Rolla High School in Rolla, MO and furthered his education at the University of Missouri at Rolla, Hawaii Community College, and Cedar Valley Community College. He proudly served his country in the US Army in the 1st 75th Ranger Battalion and I Corps MP Company, Ft. Lewis, WA. He retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in Dallas, TX after 23 years of loyal service. William was dedicated to his family, and his love for his wife and children was evident in every aspect of his life. William volunteered with the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders and considered standing the line for military veterans a duty and an honor. He was an avid fisherman and loved all motor sports, particularly NASCAR.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 4216 Bowen Rd. in Arlington. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 at Moore Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Diana Davis Poulson of Arlington; parents Robert Campbell and Diana Louise Poulson of Russellville, AR; brother Bobby Ashmore of Germantown, MD; daughter Diana Nicole McPhail and her husband James D McPhail III of Richlands, NC; sons Justin and Brandon Eckert of Arlington; grandson James D McPhail IV of Richlands, NC. William was the beloved son-in-law of Patricia Davis of Evansville, IN; and Dr. Robert E. Davis Sr. and his wife Judy of Memphis, TN. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Robert E. Davis Jr and his wife Christine also of Evansville, IN; nieces Jessica, Erica, and Veronica; nephews Logan, Jeremy, Angus and TJ; and his dearly loved ‘bonus’ kids, Jenna, Andrew and Billy.
