It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Angela “Gela” Roman Arroyo, aged 104, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on 31 January 2026. Born on 23 October 1921, in Añasco, Puerto Rico.
Gela was a mother, grandmother, and friend whose gentle humor and kindness touched every life she encountered. Her sense of humor never faded, even in her later years. She believed in living simply, loving deeply, and helping others whenever she could. She is survived by one granddaughter, and two great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at Murphy Funeral Home on 11 February 2026 at 4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to share memories celebrating her life.
Gela’s laughter, generosity, and grace will forever live in the hearts of her family.
