Barbara Ruth May Guenther

On Tuesday October 16, 2012, Barbara Guenther, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully in her home after a four-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert E. Guenther, her brother, George May, her brother-in-law, George Hollingsworth and her son-in-law, Michael J. Hart, Sr. Surviving are her children, Sally A. Hart, Gary D. Guenther (Betty), Robert E. Guenther Jr. (Suzanne) and Shelly A. Guenther; her grandchildren, Jessica, Lara, Natalie, Michael, Jr., Wendy, Shawn, Brittany, Rachel and Derrick; her great-grandchildren, Oceanna, Gabriella, Heather, Paige and Rylea; her sister, Dianna Hollingsworth; brother, Danny May (Jeri); her sister-in-law Rosemary May; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be receiving friends at the Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203 on Monday, October 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Unit #139, will have a Memorial Service at 7 p.m., Monday, October 22. Funeral services will be held at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, 1500 N. Glebe Rd., Arlington, VA 22207 on Tuesday, October 23 at 2 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery to be announced at a later date.
