

Welcome to our world and the celebration "The circle of life for Beatrice E Brantley", born November 29, 1921. Mom B or "Bea" a long time resident of Arlington VA died Saturday the 14th of May at Sunrise Senior Living in Arlington VA. She lived a wonderful life of travel and was a gracious host of family gatherings.
Born in Cartagena Colombia, when she was 14 years old she moved to Chevy Chase MD with her parents Augusto and Carmela Tono. While living in the Washington DC area she met and married William Lawrence Brantley "Larry" a graduate of the class of 1937 from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis MD.
Bea, became a naval aviator's wife after Larry attended Pensacola Naval Air Station flight school and WWII. Bea continued to support her husband in various entrepreneurial endeavors in the restaurant, hotel and real estate business. She had a passion for gardening, sewing, cooking and entertaining.
Known also as "Mommy Bea" she is survived by her three sons, Larry Brantley, Blowing Rock NC, James Brantley, Annapolis MD and John Brantley, Stafford VA along with six grand children, and five great grand children.
A viewing will be conducted at 10:30 AM, followed by a catholic mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 19th at St Agnes Catholic Church, 1910 N Randolph St, Arlington VA 22207.
A reception will follow at Mom B's home located at 4425 36th St, North, Arlington VA 22207
At a later date to be determined will be a memorial service at Arlington National Cemetery, where Bea will join Larry at his grave site. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association
