A service will be held for Carolyn at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington Va. on Tuesday, February 28th.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with the service to follow at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at National Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her first husband Lewis Shortridge, second husband Bill McCrae, son Skip Shortridge, parents Russel and Jessie Sharp, and sisters Elizabeth, Velma Jean, and Becky.
She is survived by her son George Shortridge of Jacksonville, daughter Brenda Owens and husband Tom of Winchester, VA; grandchildren Jeff Owens, Shannon Jenkins, Casey Shortridge, Adam Owens, and Meagan Brown; great grandchildren Makhailah, Jayden, Alessa, Jaeden, Haley, Emma, Carly, Ellie Grace, Harper, and Peyton, great, great grandchild Mycah; and her sisters Lolita and Donna.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to St Jude Hospital in her honor.
