We were friends of Christopher Famme.  He was a funny guy and could always put a smile on your face.  We loved seeing him in Artstream plays and being with him in the Adults Going Places Social Club.  We will truly miss him.  Diane and Dan Doolittle

Chris and his family came to see me offten at Northside29. He would always brighten my day. His laugh and hugs were always the best. My heart breaks to hear this news. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Chris was one of my first friends in life.
We lived in San Diego - I was 4ish. Chris was my older cousin, but we got along well, and as I grew older we got along even better because I came to appreciate the wisdom he helped me discover.
The thing about knowing Chris is that he knew his joys and priorities. He was quite happy to express himself. Most importantly, he was liberated from a lot of daily toil concerns that let his creative mind explore and make sense of the world. 
Chris could command a naval fleet from his perch in the condo.
He could explore deep space moving a spaceship at an inch a minute through the vastness of the living room.
Chris was uninhibited and could inspire others to join him in that mindset. But, importantly, he also had been sufficiently tempered by his incredible mother and father to ensure inhibition never crossed a line. It was civilized inhibition. Exactly what our society needs more of.
Two concluding favorite experiences:
I did not get to see Chris often enough in life as I got older and busy with my career and he moved East. Sometimes that meant five years might go by before I saw Chris. But the thing I loved is I would show up at the front door, he would see me, say “Hi Ryder” and it was like I had just had lunch with him the day before. No fuss. No drama. He was not indifferent. He just had a huge world going on in his head and had so filled the gap in time from our last face-to-face visit that time compressed to nothing. I loved it.
Second, on the day of my wedding I recall a lot of people offering advice on life – but to be honest I can’t remember much of what anyone said to me, except Chris. He grabbed at the reception, looked into my eyes and with a tone on sincerity that would rival Patton, declared, “never give up your Legos.”
I still have my Lego collection and have never given a brick away.

Arrgh! Chris appeared to enjoy the journey and not the destination so much.  He was a great shipmate and is deeply missed.
