

Donald A. Lakatosh of Arlington, VA passed away on November 17, 2013, at the age of 78.
He is preceded by his parents Andrew J. and Sophia C. Lakatosh of Reading, PA and a brother, Lawrence. He is survived by his wife Marie of 56 years, his children, Donald (Kara) of Knoxville, TN, daughter, Laurie Ann of Arlington and by four grandchildren Andrew, William, Emma, Robert of Knoxville, TN and four siblings, Joan Magee of Woodbury, NJ; Irene Lakatosh of Reading, PA; Thomas Lakatosh of Indianapolis, IN; and Rita (Stephen) Lukes of Douglassvile, PA and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He served in the USAF for 9 years and DoD for more than 20 years. He worked at RCA before serving as a civil servant for the Army at the Pentagon and retiring as Analyst from the U.S. Army INSCOM office from 1967 -1990 working in Germany and Turkey. He was a member the First Catholic Slovak Union, Branch 175, Catholic War Veterans, Post 1652, as a realtor for both Cardinal and Weichert Realty, and served as an usher at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More.
A visitation will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Lane, Arlington, VA, on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. A Prayer Service will be on Friday, November 22, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of the Resurrection, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA, followed by burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to be made to the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, Arlington, VA.
