My condolences to Donovan's family.  Don and I were only recently back in touch, having been good friends and colleagues at the State Department in the 1980s.  We had a long phone conversation in September, and it was wonderful to catch up.  So sorry to have lost my friend so soon after we reconnected.  He was a smart, engaging, and delightful man.  He will be remembered and missed.
