George Alexander Altenbach, Jr. was born to George A. Altenbach Sr., and Elizabeth Altenbach(Boldizar) both preceded him in death.
A long time resident of Arlington VA, with his beginnings in Pittsburgh PA. He was a son, a brother, a Marine, a husband, a father, a Legionnaire, and an Opa; these titles he wore with pride.
George loved baseball (Nationals) , football (R-Skins/ Commanders). He played on softball teams, he loved playing pool, and going to the range to get some shots in. As a proud Legionnaire, he would go to Post 85, 4 to 5 times a week (like it was his job).
George was a highly effective, and intelligent man, a great sense of humor, a good husband, father, and Opa. Dude could even tell time by the sun, to the minute. He worked in the trades, and earned many certifications, training, and licenses. George was selected for the LDI (Leadership Development Initiative) program in July of 2000, of which he was very proud. There's not enough time or character space to tell you about this man's accomplishments; here is just a snippet of them.
