Harriet Victoria (Krug) Miner passed away peacefully on March 22, 2018 in McLean, VA. She was born in Baltimore, MD on January 11, 1946. She was married in 2000 to John O. Miner. He preceded her in death less than a month earlier on February 24, 2018.
Soon after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Roanoke College in Salem, VA, Harriet began her career in management analysis with the Social Security Administration. She retired from her position as the Director of the Division of Management Analysis and Employee Development for the Office of Hearings and Appeals in 2006.
Harriet is survived by her two sisters, Mary Beth (Peter) Nelson of Chicago Heights, IL, and Martha (Roger) Nelson of Gettysburg, PA. She also was a beloved aunt to Peter Nelson of Ann Arbor, MI, Jennifer Vogel of Arlington, VA, David Nelson of Gettysburg, PA, Stephen Nelson of Chicago, IL, and Kristin Nelson of Homewood, IL. Harriet was the dear godmother to her nephews David and Stephen.
Harriet will be buried with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia on August 21, 2018.
