Helen P. Illy

Helen P. Illy, age 103, of Arlington, VA recently passed away peacefully at home. She was predeceased by her three siblings and devoted husband, Robert L. Illy. She is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Kay, Mimi and Roberta, her favorite grandson, Anthony, her favorite granddaughter, Lisa, and many nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong Catholic.

She came to Washington, DC to work for the government, met Bob, and they married in 1953. She worked for the federal government, worked in the family business while raising her three daughters, went back to work for the federal government, and retired in 1984.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 15 from 4 to 6 pm at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 16 at 1:30 pm at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1910 N. Randolph Street, Arlington, Virginia. The Burial will be at 3 pm at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church in Arlington, Virginia or a charity of your choice.
