

Born on September 29, 1923 in New Orleans, La. Died May 25, 2014 peacefully at home in Arlington, Va.
She was the daughter of the late Michael T. Enright and Helen Mary Crammond Enright. She was preceded in death by her sister Carmelita (Cone) Thornton and brothers Melvin, Paul and Michael Enright.
She worked for the U.S. Government at the U.S. Naval Station in New Orleans during the war years from 1942 until 1948. On November 12, 1947, she married Captain Talmadge Patrick Maggard SC, USN. They were married for 59 years until his death in 2007. They were preceded in death by their two children, Judy Ann Maggard and Talmadge Patrick Maggard Jr. She was a loving wife and mother and traveled extensively with her husband until his retirement, after which they made their home in Arlington for more than 33 years. She did volunteer work with the Navy and with schools at each new assignment, and enjoyed homemaking and family life.
Mrs. Maggard was a life long Catholic and her roots of faith were planted at St. Dominic's Church in New Orleans, La. where she received First Holy Communion, was confirmed, and was married.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Arlington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 6 at 1pm. Visitation will be held at the church at noon.
She was especially grateful to Rev. Lee Roos and all the priests and lay people at Saint Agnes Church who greatly enriched her life.
She is survived by her nephews David and Earl Thornton of Zachary, La., and their children; "honorary and loving stepdaughter" Holly Siprelle Hedstrom, husband Tom, and she was fortunate to have so many kind and loving friends. She was especially thankful to Mike Pai, Roberta Goldblatt, Helene King, and Margaret Waruri.
Mrs. Maggard will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
