It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irma Rosa Insuasty Cook on January 13, 2016 at her home in Arlington, VA. Irma was born in Quito, Ecuador to Teresa & Gerardo Insuasty. She married Pierce Cook Jr. in December, 1976 in Bogota, Colombia. Irma was beloved mother to Erika Cook & Pierce Cook III & sister to Gladys, Edgar, & Hugo Insuasty. In addition, Irma leaves behind many cherished relatives.
After working as an admin professional in Colombia, Irma married US Navy Sailor Pierce Cook Jr. and relocated to Virginia to raise their family and continue her career. Irma had a passion and a gift for interior design that she lovingly shared.
