

Toshi was born on November 22, 1934 to Minoru Nakajima and Ichiro Osada in Japan. After marrying Robert V. Jamerson in March 1956, she moved to the United States where she became an American citizen in May 1960.
After traveling the world with her husband, Bob, he retired from the U. S. Army in 1975. They moved to Newport News, VA shortly after. Toshi became an active member of the community until she relocated in 2021 to her goddaughter’s home in Arlington, VA.
She was a creative and talented individual with interests in art, sewing, gardening and cooking sharing her knowledge and gifts with her five goddaughters, Pauline, Judi, Barbara, Linda, and Marian.
Toshi was predeceased by several brothers: Hiromu, Makoto, Tatsuyuki Osada. She is survived by a brother and sister, Kiyo Sawahata and Takaaki Osada and nieces Kumi and Naomi.
She was a giving and thoughtful sister, aunt, godmother and friend and we were fortunate and grateful to have her as part of our lives.
Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
