Jack Emerson Babcock

JACK EMERSON BABCOCK (Age 102)

Died on December 11, 2017, after a long life that included 31 years in the Army, reaching the rank of Brigadier General. After retiring in 1968, Jack worked at NASA, General Dynamics (in Belgium), and Georgetown University, where he taught at the business school and founded the school’s summer program at Oxford University. He and his wife Judith raised five children, two of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Jill Kern, Carol Bales and Alice Monet, by six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1132 N. Ivanhoe St., Arlington, VA 22205.
