Jackie was the person you called when you needed prayer, hope, or a miracle. She never hesitated to lift others up in prayer and would often reach out unexpectedly just to say, "I'm praying for you." Her faith was unwavering, and her prayers were a gift to everyone who knew her.
Her deep love for the Holy Eucharist and our Blessed Mother Mary shaped every aspect of her life. She was devoted to prayer, found joy in writing, and faithfully served our Catholic community with a generous heart. Through her ministry at Saint Ann's and Saint Anthony's, especially with youth, she touched countless lives and inspired many to grow closer to Christ.
We are profoundly grateful to God for the blessing of calling Jackie our sister in Christ and “Madrina” to many. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the countless lives she touched with her faith, kindness, and love.
Jackie is survived by her sister, Monica, who invites you to join her in celebrating Jackie's life at a 10:00am Mass on Thursday, July 30 at Saint Ann Parish, 5300 10th Street North, Arlington, Virginia 22205. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
If you wish to memorialize Jackie, please consider a gift to Contigo Youth in her name. The website is ContigoYouth.org and it is an apostolate of Saint Anthony’s that provides holistic summer and after-school programming, giving 1st-12th graders a local, safe, and supervised place to grow.
