Born March 12, 1934, to William and Mary Doucette in Little Falls, Minnesota. After graduating high school in Little Falls, Jackie attended secretarial school in Minneapolis, MN, and then moved to Washington, DC, in 1952 to start her career as a civil servant for the Navy. She met her husband James Argodale at work and was married on February 7, 1953. Jackie resigned when her first child was born in 1955, and then returned to work for the Army in 1966. Jackie had a long career earning many promotions and recognition for her contributions. She retired as Budget Analyst for the Army in 1996.
Jackie loved to play bridge, read, travel, attend live theatrical performances, and cook. Most importantly, Jackie relished being a mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She raised her family of 6 children as a single mother after the passing of her husband in 1974. She loved making a huge Thanksgiving dinner to celebrate with her children, grandchildren, and friends and did so until 2020. She loved her role as a grandmother (Grammy) and took several of her grandchildren on cross-country road trips to visit family. Jackie frequently reunited with her siblings, and they had many adventures fishing and traveling.
