I came to know Jerry a couple years ago when he joined the New Horizons Band, playing alto saxophone. His passing leaves not only an empty spot in the band, but in each of our hearts. He is greatly missed.  My sincere sympathy to his family.

My sympathies go out to Jerry's wife, Julie, and to "cousin Grace" and family. I was very shocked and remain deeply saddened  at this news. Recall Jerry so well in high school...often sat behind him due to alphabetized  seating charts, given the SC, SE name starts!.Enjoyed visiting with Jerry and his wife at family reunions, as our mothers are cousins. He led a rich life. May that be said for us all.

I haven't seen Jerry in years but he is one of those people that you think about in 10 second snapshots occasionally throughout your life and those brief memories always bring a smile to your face. My deepest sympathies to the Schrepple family.

In high school Jerry and I became good friends.  Our mothers worked together so after school we walked to meet them at work.  We spent six years in the Boy Scouts where Jerry was senior patrol leader and I was the assistant.  I will never forget all the fun we had, especially at camp.  

In school I always knew he would become someone who would make a difference in this world and it will not be the same without him.  My deepest sympathy to Julie and the Schrepple family. Peace, my friend.

We were so lucky to have two visits from Jerry after our class reunion.  We will always treasure the CD's he made for Wayne and the music they made together....just talking.  He will be missed by many and thought of often. His obituary was outstanding and perfectly described Jerry and his life.  Our deepest sympathy to your entire family.

Sincere condolences to all of the Schrepple family. Even though I was a classmate of Jerry's older brother, I have good memories of Jerry. We were all students of Tilden Elementary back in the day. Rest in peace.

Jerry was always someone you enjoyed seeing, who always had a smile and a kind word.  His cheerfulness and the way he enjoyed his life was an inspiration.

I've  known  Jerry since 1st grade, last talking to him last November at our 45th class reunion.  What a wonderful person, Jerry always showed respect and kindness to others.  This is a great loss to his family.  My deepest condolences go out to the entire Schrepple family. We lost Jerry much too soon. God Bless

Sincerest condolences to the entire Schrepple family. You can be very proud of all Jerry accomplished in his life. I will always remember his kind spirit, his wit, his amazing intelligence and his great stories. Rest easy, my buddy! When we meet again we will have plenty to talk about!

My condolences to Jerry's family.  I will miss working with him at Oak Marr Golf.  Golf lessons with Jerry were always fun.

What a loss to our New Horizons Band and the Greenhorns in talent and spirit. He was a fun can-do kind of guy that the world needs more of. My condolences to his family, friends, and community.

 A great friend to me and Hungry for Music. We played many softball games together, watched countless sporting events together, and we went to several Caps and Nats games every year. He picked up donated instruments for Hungry for Music in Arlington/Alexandria, wrote and edited press releases and newsletters, and did our trademark legal work. We took an epic road trip to New Orleans years ago to see his Eagles play the Saints. I remember he couldn't believe how nice the Saints fans were to him sporting his big green Eagles jacket. He was a very kind man himself and I will truly miss him. He was a friend that would have your back no matter what. His love and support will stay with me. Prayers to his family, especially his dear wife, Julie.

 Before ECAB had computers and Cyberfeds it had Jerry Schrepple.  Jerry was a true mentor to us upstart, once young, attorneys.  Not only did he know the law, he could open a desk drawer and pull out just the sample decision you needed. Jerry was patient, kind, fair, and humble.  Those of us who are still at ECAB can only hope that we have been able to pass along what we learned from Jerry.

My prayers for comfort and understanding for all involved.  It's been many years since I have seen Jerry, but, I always admired him and was a stand up guy.

I will really miss Jerry.  He was a wonderful, kind, caring person.  I knew him for the last year and a half, as a member of the Arlington "New Horizons Band".  Jerry was a terrific saxophone player. I played the drums with him.  We had a lot of fun together.  I remember seeing him at an Arlington County Board Committee meeting, when another Arlington Regional Master naturalist was given an award.  Rest in peace, Jerry.

My thoughts are with Jerry's family.  He was a great guy and I will miss him.

To my good friend Julia and to Jerry and Julia's family, our deepest sympathy for the loss of such a wonderful person.  We did not see Jerry very much, but when we did, he had an unforgettable smile.  We are comforted to know that he enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, and we hope that his cheerful heart, positive outlook, and gentle soul will live on as an example to all of us.

Dear Julie 

It has been many years since I had the pleasure of being in Jerry's company in Hatteras. It was hard to distinguish between the warmth of the sun on the beach there and the warmth of Jerry's friendship. He made such a strong and positive impression that I feel as if I stood alongside Jerry in Hatteras just yesterday. Some of what I will remember about Jerry are his generosity and courage of conviction, his kindness and consideration for others, his strength both of body and in spirit, his humility, his athletic prowess, his intelligence, his subtle sense of humor, his passion for living and for the outdoors, and perhaps most of all, his love -- which I saw in his eyes and in his smile whenever he observed that you had walked into the room, or when he had a dog at his side. There are just a handful of individuals who we meet in our lifetime who by their example inspire us to be better people, to go the extra mile for the ones whom we love and also for those whom we don't even know but who could use some help and support. Jerry was one such individual. Although no one can fully comprehend your sense of loss at this time, I hope you will be strengthened by the love and good will of your family and friends, and the knowledge that Jerry gave his all to you and his other loved ones in this magnificent life of his.

Julie and the Schrepple Family: We cannot even begin to express how sad we are over this great and premature loss. Jerry was the heart of our team, a kind and loyal friend, patient beyond belief and so broadly intelligent. He was fun and interesting to be with every time we saw him. The memory of our time at the ballet and our party lights us up. We toasted to him last night: Peace and love, Phil, Adrianne and Xavier Daschner

I am sorry for your loss.  Jerry was a wonderful human being and just being in his presence, which was all too rare, never failed to put a smile on my face.

I never had an opportunity to meet your loved one, but I am very thankful for his remarkable legacy to our Local. I am forever grateful to him for being a voice for those who did not have a voice or were too afraid to speak.  The world is a much place because of Jerry's contributions to mankind.  May you find comfort in the many wonderful memories that you shared with your loved one.  Please know that people care.  Until you meet again, may the wind always be at your back, and may the sun continue to shine warmly upon your face.

Jerry made the world around him a more thoughtful and considerate place. He was a strong and gentle man. A good friend to his friends. A rare gem of a human being. I filmed his wedding and his big grin will always accompany my thoughts of him. He has taken his light into the next room and left much light behind him. Jerry was an inspiration to stewards in the Department of Labor. He was always looking out for the little guy and had such empathy. We are sorry for your loss.

I knew Jerry as a shop steward with AFGE Local 12. Not only did he help many people he won a major arbitration protecting employees suffering through substance abuse; he helped many people after he left the Department because of his courage and wisdom. thank you Jerry and God Bless Your Family.
