Jessica "Jessie" P. Skillman, wife of the late Louis F. Skillman, died on May 29, 2014 at the age of 100. They celebrated 61 years of marriage. She was born in Washington, DC on Easter, April 12, 1914 and lived all of her married life in Arlington, VA. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Anne Frye of Haymarket, VA, her son, Louis "Bud"
Skillman of Fulks Run, VA, nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Jessie was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, and enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and cross stitch.
An 11 a.m. memorial service will be held on June 4, 2014 at National Memorial Park Chapel, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church, VA with burial following at their site at National Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held at her daughter's home in Haymarket, VA after the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sentara Hospice of Harrisonburg, VA.
