John J. Chipouras, age 83, of McLean, VA died on April 26, 2013. John was born in Washington, D.C. on April 15, 1930. Loving husband of Marjorie C. Chipouras and brother to Pauline Calomiris. John was the loving father of 5 children; Cary (Deborah), James (Susan), Peter (Deirdre), Jennifer (John) Freeman and Eleni; proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and had numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
Friends may call at the Murphy Funeral Home at 4510 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, VA. on Monday April 29th, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m..
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday April 30th, 2:00 p.m. at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church at 3149 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA. Internment will follow immediately at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church.
