Jose Cornejo Vides

Age 72, of Arlington, VA peacefully passed away on May 6th surrounded with an abundance of love.

Jose was born on October 6, 1953 in San Salvador, El Salvador to Maria Cruz (mother), Jose (father) and eleven siblings. He obtained his bachelor’s in accounting. After migrating to the United States in 1982, he found Virginia his home for the past 43 years. He became a successful entrepreneur & general contractor in the district.

Jose is survived by his wife of 50 years Aracely, 5 children (Sergio, Claudia, Patricia, Alex & Mauricio), grandchildren (Jennifer, Celeste, Esmeralda, Leah & Emily), a daughter in law (Jennifer), a son in law (Rene), his mother Maria Cruz, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family friends whose lives Jose touched.

Jose loved spending time with all his fur-babies. He enjoyed sitting in his office behind his computer playing “online casino” games or watching his Netflix telenovelas, reality shows and soccer games. On the weekends he loved going to the casinos with his wife and good friends and taking trips to Manassas to hang out with family. Jose loved traveling back home to see his family and eating a good ceviche on the beach. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his devotion to help out anyone in need, but most of all Jose will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family especially his wife and children.
