Joseph Edward Jones Jr., age 86, born on December 31st in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on November 1st. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Edward Jones Sr. and Evelyn Jones Keady, and his grandchildren, Alyson and Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jones, of 54 years, his Daughters, Lori, Susan, Kristin, and Melissa; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Regan, Tara, Emma, Chaz, and Alexus. Throughout his years, he dedicated his life to service in many jobs such as a volunteer firefighter in Oxon Hill, MD, an American University DC Special Police Officer, a security officer at the DMV, and a Service Mechanic for VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation). He was a life member of the Arlington Moose Lodge 1315 for 56 years and a member of the American Legion Post 139.
Visitation will be held on Sunday November 15th, 2026 from 1PM-3PM at Murphy Funeral Home 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA.
