Joseph A. Krauth, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Arlington on Friday, August 19, 2016. Born in McKees Rocks, PA, Joe served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Duquesne University. He was an accountant with the U.S. Dept. of Labor for over 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Krauth; sons Thomas (Suzanne) of Chevy Chase, MD, and Philip of Alexandria, VA; daughters Jennifer Chickillo (Rocco) of Greensboro, NC, and Diane Hession (Jack) of Alexandria, VA; brother Jerome Krauth of Coraopolis, PA; grandchildren Caroline and Joseph Krauth, Richard and Isabella Chickillo, and Henry Hession. Friends will be received on Wednesday August 24 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at Murphy Funeral Home, Arlington. Funeral Mass will be offered at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More on Thursday August 25 at 10:00 AM.
