Kathy Seidenkranz-Prunty

In loving memory of Katherine Ann Seidenkranz-Prunty known by many as Cake. She was born on July 27th, 1968. Kathy died Monday, November 30th, 2015 at Alexandria Hospital at the age of 47. Her health had been going downhill for two years and she finally subdued to cardiac arrest. Kathy is survived by her 9 year old daughter named Alaina Marie Prunty.

Kathy was a fun loving person with a wonderful laugh. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. This proved true all her life. She graduated from Yorktown High School. She participated in soccer, baseball and was a member of the Yorktown High Drill Team. She attended Northern Virginia Community College and received her BA from George Mason University. She worked with the handicapped for a time but decided she really wanted to be in the administrative end of working with people. With that thought in mind, Kathy began working for Non-Profit organizations. Her favorite job was with the Northern Virginia Health Foundation, a family oriented company.

Kathy’s pride and joy was Alaina Marie. Everything she did was for Alaina. She is also survived by her mother and father, Dorothy and Jerry Seidenkranz, her brother Gerald Seidenkranz Jr. and his wife Norma Jean, his sister Crystal Denise Eldridge and her children Donald Kimble, Jr, Jennifer Lynn Eldridge and Katherine Amanda Eldridge (Amanda). She is also survived by her ex-husband and Alaina’s father Brian Prunty and his loving family.

Kathy (Cake) will ALWAYS be remembered by both friends and family.
