

Latzie C. Peltz, October 5, 2012. Latzie grew up in Summit Hill, PA. He had a Bachelor of Business Administration from Spencerian College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He began his career with the US Navy in 1953 until he retired in 1991. During his long and distinguished career with the Navy, he served on the USS Beale (1954-57), USS Inflict (1979-1982) and held various assignments to Naval bases around the country such as in San Mateo, CA; Des Moines, IA; Navy Yard in Washington D.C.; USNTC Great Lakes, IL; NAF Andrews AFB and Naval Reserve Readiness Center in Baltimore, MD. He was selected to serve on the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee in Washington DC in 1988. His last assignment was with the Naval Reserve Readiness Command Region Six, Washington DC. After his retirement from the Navy, he worked as assistant football coach at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA. He also coached baseball, basketball and football as a volunteer with the Arlington County Parks & Recreation Department for over twenty years. He leaves behind his wife of forty years (Francine), his sons (Kevin and Dominique), his brother (Eugene) and many other family members and friends.
