Linda Lee Hoffman was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, where she graduated from Hopkinsville High School and later attended Murray State College.
Linda eventually left Kentucky for Arlington, Virginia, where she built a full and meaningful life. She worked for the Department of Defense Space Management at the Pentagon and made Arlington her beloved home.
Linda lived a vibrant life surrounded by friends and family. She loved playing golf at Washington Golf and Country Club, where she was a cherished member for more than forty years. She also faithfully served as a deacon at Memorial Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia.
Above all, Linda’s greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother. She is survived by her son, Hubert N. “Jay” Hoffman IV and his wife, Zdenka Bojanic Hoffman; her daughter, Heather Manzer and her husband, Titan Manzer, and granddaughter, Hannah Manzer; and her daughter, Valerie Bowles. She is also survived by her loving ex-husband, Hubert N. “Jay” Hoffman III; her sister, Diane Sivells Hardick; and her brother, Michael Sivells, and his wife, Janice Sivells.
Linda had a gift for making those around her feel welcomed, valued, and cared for, and her presence brought warmth, grace, and joy to the lives of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her quiet strength, her devotion to the people she loved, and the meaningful life she created through kindness, faith, and friendship.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Baptist Church, 3455 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. A private interment will be held at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linda’s name to Memorial Baptist Church.
