Linda was born on April 18, 1959 in Anchorage, Alaska to Richard and Margaret Meyer. Prior to settling in Spring Valley, New York, her military family moved often, allowing Linda to grow up in many locations throughout the country. Wherever she lived, she made friends easily and brought joy to those around her. A diligent student, she earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in computer science from George Washington University. She went on to build a long, successful career in technology, managing teams in software and application delivery. She retired as a Senior Director of Application Delivery at Marriott International.
On September 14, 1986, Linda married Kenneth Ryan. They raised their three daughters in Arlington, Virginia, surrounded by a large group of extended family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth always made people feel at home. She loved nature and was happiest outdoors, whether skiing snowy mountains in the winter, watching rolling beach waves in the summer, or listening to the rain fall from the comfort of the couch. She found beauty in every season, every day, and every look out the window.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Kenneth; her children, Julie, Michelle, and Natalie; her grandson, Kieran; and her siblings, Donna and Chris. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret; and her brother, Michael.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11am at St. Ann Catholic Church.
