Died peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Arlington, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. McGurrin, children Alice Jean McGurrin, James Ross McGurrin, and Mary Catherine McGurrin, son-in-law, Jon Dunlap and great-granddaughter Sofia Snyder. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Dunlap and Margaret McGurrin (Patrick Turvey) and daughter-in-law, Velma Smith. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Shannon, Genevieve, Cary, Jon, Brian, Erin and Evan and 11 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203 on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 pm for visitation.
