Lowell Edward Fisher

A career naval aviator, he entered the Navy in 1942 and served three theaters (World War II, Korea, and Vietnam).

He was a resident of Arlington for nearly sixty years. Honored as citizen of the year by the Ohio State University, he was active in many community organizations and a volunteer at the Andrew Rader Health Clinic in Fort Myer for twenty five years.

He leaves behind his daughter, Melanie Kelley (Ken); granddaughters, Kristen (Rick) and Kendra (Jason); and six great-grandchildren, all in Texas. Above all, Lowell was loved by all he met.

A calling hour for Lowell will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Homes, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22203. A funeral service will occur on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2701 Cameron Mills Rd, Alexandria, VA 22302.
