Margaret Ella Schulz

On February 28, 2022, Margaret Ella Walters Schulz, was called to her eternal rest after enjoying life in Virginia for almost 85 years. Margaret was raised in Arlington and attended Washington-Lee High School and thereafter George Washington University. She found the love of her life in Don Schulz. They were married nearly 58 years and raised their family in Vienna, VA.

Peggy worked in business support positions and also provided childcare for many of her Vienna neighbors. She enjoyed spending time at the beach in Ocean City Maryland, learning about international cultures, ceramics, crocheting, football (the Washington team) as well as baking holiday cookies with family and friends. She and Don spent their retirement years in Leesburg and heartily enjoyed the company of those who visited them.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara. Her husband of 58 years, Don; six of her seven children: Mary Margaret, Chuck, Lucy, Bernard, Catherine and Carolyn; nine grandchildren: Charles, Chris, Matthew, Eric, Samantha, Ethan, Patrick, Seth and Izzy; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Her parents, two sisters - Janet and Dorothy; two brothers – Joseph and Raymond, her infant son and many other family and friends welcomed her to her heavenly home.

Friends and family may join us for Visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Rosary to be held at 8:00pm in the evening on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington (4510 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, VA 22203).

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 19 at St. Ann's Catholic Church (5300 10th Street N, Arlington, VA 22205) with burial to follow at 2pm at Arlington National Cemetery (1 Memorial Ave, Arlington, VA 22211). Please arrive at 1:15pm for I.D. check prior to burial at Arlington National Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a reception at St. Ann's.
