She was the loving mother of three children, two daughters (Marily and Liliana) and a son (Luis). She dedicated her life to them, making sure they were prepared for life’s challenges and provided them endless love.
Maria was born in Lima, Peru to Jose Zollner and Luzmila Valdetaro on February 7, 1945. She was the third of three children, with two older brothers (Jose and Gustavo). Maria was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gus. Maria is survived by her brother, Jose Zollner; her former husband, Luis Sirotzky; her three children, Marily (Jim) Quinn, Liliana (Greg Belloni) Sirotzky, and Luis (Pam) Sirotzky Jr; and her seven grandchildren (Thomas, Patrick, Andrew, Olivia, Emery, William, and Lily.)
Maria grew up in Lima and graduated in 1971 from the Universidad Catolica de Lima with a degree in art. She was a terrific painter, specializing in acrylics. Her three children boast works she completed in their homes.
Maria embarked on a life changing adventure in 1972, when she married Luis Sirotzky and the two moved to the United States, first living in Baltimore, MD. The two soon moved to Chicago, Il and started a family quickly, welcoming Marily in December 1973 and Liliana in February 1976. They ultimately moved down south to Lake Worth, Fl, where Luis Jr was born in February 1981.
Maria’s showering love continued with the arrival of each grandchild. She loved holding them in her arms and letting them snuggle in for a nap.
We will miss Maria with all our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to St Jude Children’s Research Center. Please join us for a memorial mass at St Ann Catholic Church, Arlington VA 22205 on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11 am.
