Marika Koumanelis, age 95, of Arlington, Virginia passed away peacefully in her home on March 14, 2025. Marika is survived by her daughter, Mimi, her grandson, Marat, her sister, Magda of Greece, plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Steve, who passed away in 2006, and her children, Vickie and Steven.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11 AM at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd, Falls Church, VA. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church.
