OBITUARY
Mark Alan Donaldson
April 28, 1958 – May 4, 2022

IN THE CARE OF
Murphy Funeral Homes
Mark Alan Donaldson, 64, of Arlington, VA passed away suddenly on May 4th, 2022. Mark was born April 28, 1958 to Mary Ann and Robert Donaldson of Vintondale, PA.
Mark attended Blacklick Valley high school of Nanty Glo, PA. Later, Mark moved to Virginia to continue his life.
Mark is survived by his two sons: Matthew Allen Donaldson and Mark Austin Donaldson (Crystal), long-time girlfriend: Leslie Donnella, two grandchildren: Jade Stout and Keeley Ann Donaldson, his mother: Mary Ann Donaldson, four sisters: Terry Caldwell, Karen Tummino (Glynn), Judith Mulatto (Andy), Lorraine Tatarko and three brothers: Bill Donaldson, PJ Donaldson (Linda) and Larry Donaldson (Heather). Mark had lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, etc. He is predeceased by his father.
Mark was a tough old bird, but a remarkable man he was. He had a tough exterior, but the heart of a marshmallow. Mark was the go-to person for everything; if something needed repaired, call Mark, if you needed a shoulder, call Mark. He was a very determined individual, no matter how many times it took to do something, he did it until it worked. He would do anything for anyone, no matter the time or day. He was an avid fisherman and spent his free time on the creeks and rivers of PA and VA trout fishing. If you couldn't find him on the bank fishing, you would find him spending time with his granddaughter, his favorite pastime. If you were not able to find him there, he was working. Mark had a big heart and will be deeply missed.
The viewing will be on Friday May 20th from 11am to 3pm at Murphy's Funeral Home (4510 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, VA 22203).
