Matthew Kilmartin Serpa

Matthew K. Serpa, age 22, died January 20, 2015. He is survived by his mother Nancy M. Serpa of Arlington, VA; his brother Michael M. Serpa, and his sister Kathleen M. Serpa. He was predeceased by his father Louis J. Serpa. Matt was a 2011 graduate of Yorktown High School, a Specialist in the US Army Reserve, and a student at Columbia University. A memorial service will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA, on Monday January 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Columbia Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matthew's name may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or at
